Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has issued a public apology to her colleague and former associate, Laide Bakare, following backlash over a recent controversial interview.
Eniola made the apology on Tuesday after facing criticism online over her reaction when Laide’s name came up during the Curiosity Made Me Asked podcast.
Speaking amid the backlash in a series of Instagram posts, Eniola, who has not been on good terms with Laide, addressed the situation directly and called for peace between them.
“On reflection, I realise my reaction when Laide Bakare’s name was mentioned during my recent interview could have come across as dismissive, and for that, I sincerely apologise,” she wrote.
She added: “Laide, whatever our differences, I choose peace and I genuinely wish you well. Joo maa binu (please don’t be offended), no negativity, no grudges. Let love lead and peace reigns.”
