Kelechi Iheanacho is back on Nigeria’s radar, and this time it only took two goals in one match to do it.

The 29-year-old scored a brace to inspire Boluspor’s dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Batman Petrolspor in the Turkish 1. Lig on September 19, 2026. Batman’s captain Doria had given the hosts an early lead in the 29th minute, but Iheanacho leveled from the penalty spot in the 60th minute before grabbing the winner in the 85th.

The brace stretches his scoring streak to eight straight matches, taking his season tally to 11 goals — numbers good enough to earn him a recall to the Super Eagles squad for the October 6 friendly against Russia under head coach Eric Chelle.
